\"\"<\/a>„Durch Freude und Bekannte kam ich schon in meinen jungen Autofahrerjahren mit der luftgek\u00fchlten VW-Szene in Kontakt“ erz\u00e4hlt Andreas, der stolze Besitzer dieses sch\u00f6nen Wagens. „Obwohl stets wassergek\u00fchlt (Golf GTI) unterwegs, war mein Interesse an den luftgek\u00fchlten Modellen des Volkswagenkonzerns immer gro\u00df. Viele Besuche von nationalen und internationalen VW-Treffen taten ihr \u00dcbriges.<\/p>\n

Allerdings war es weniger der klassische K\u00e4fer, als vielmehr die Sonderkarrossen von Karmann und VW welche meine Aufmerksamkeit erhielten. Dann schiesslich im Jahr 1998 bekam ich von einem befreundeten Mitglied aus der K\u00e4fer-Szene den entscheidenden Hinweis, dass ganz in der N\u00e4he ein Karmann Ghia zum Verkauf stehen w\u00fcrde. Flugs wurde mit dem damaligen Besitzer ein Besichtigungstermin vereinbart. Der Karmann war schon damals zum Kauf mit einem 2l Typ 1 Motor, Weber Doppelvergasern, Sportauspuffanlage und Porsche Fuchsfelgen leicht modifiziert. Das entscheidende Kaufargument aber, dass das Fahrzeug bereits komplett durchrestauriert und in einer schicken Farbe (urgr\u00fcnmetallic von BMW) lackiert war.<\/p>\n

Fortan erlebte ich viele, tolle Treffen und Momente mit diesem wundersch\u00f6nem Auto. Lange hielt ich es aber mit dem relativ zahmen 2l Motor nicht aus und er wurde 1999 mittels sch\u00e4rferer Nockenwelle, bearbeiteten Zylinderk\u00f6pfen, gr\u00f6\u00dferen Vergasern und Auspuffanlage leistungstechnisch ordentlich aufgepeppt. Die Installation gr\u00f6\u00dferer Porsche Fuchsfelgen, einer kompletten Lederausstattung, grauen Scheiben, sowie diversen Modifikationen am Fahrwerk wurden desweiteren \u00fcber die Jahre hinweg nach und nach ausgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Aktuelle Modifikationen am Fahrzeug umfassen unter anderem die Installation von 6 und 7×16 Zoll original Porsche Fuchsfelgen in hochglanzpolierter und lackierter Optik. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der komplett neu aufgebaute 2,4l Typ 1 Motor mit m\u00e4chtig luftgek\u00fchlten Druck. Weitere Ver\u00e4nderungen sind mit der Anpassung des Getriebes an dem 2,4er Motor und Aufr\u00fcstung der Hinterachse mit Scheibenbremsen geplant. Als absolutes Sch\u00f6nwetter Fahrzeug macht der Karmann riesig Spa\u00df und es ist jedesmal sch\u00f6n, die begeisterten Gesichter im Stra\u00dfenverkehr zu beobachten und viele „Daumen hoch“ zu ernten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
