Heutzutage ist der Hot Rod zum American Way of Drive geworden und erfreut sich trotz aller H\u00fcrden seitens des deutschen T\u00dcVs immer gr\u00f6sser werdender Beliebtheit.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mittlerweile splittet sich die Rodderszene in viele Stilrichtungen auf. So gibt es heute noch die klassisch anmutenden Rat Rods, vom Budget meist begrenzt werden diese meist matt gerollt oder mit allem was sich so findet zusammengebaut. Ein Pistolengriff als Schaltkn\u00fcppel oder ein ausrangiertes Autobahnschild als Spritzwand sind keine Seltenheit. Diese Fahrzeuge sind einzigartig. Bei dieser Stilrichtung ist nahezu ALLES m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n<p>Ende der 50er, Anfang der 60er wandelte sich das Bild der Hot Rods. Sie wurden immer mehr zum Showcar mit aufwendigen Lackierungen, hochwertigen Materialien aber alten Attributen. Mittlerweile gab es im ganzen Land Shows und Zeitrschiften, die sich mit diesem Thema besch\u00e4ftigten. Es wurden keine Kosten und M\u00fchen gescheut den eigenen Rod zum hochertigen Showcar zu machen.<\/p>\n<p>Mitte der 60er Jahre gab es einen riesiggro\u00dfen Zubeh\u00f6rmarkt. Es existieren viele kleine Werkst\u00e4tten, Speed Shops genannt, im ganzen Land. Sogar ganze Karrosserien wurden aus Kunststoff angeboten und die Umbauten wurden immer extremer. Die Zeit war laut und bunt, genauso ihre Hot Rods. Durch Filme wie American Graffiti (1973) erlebten die Rods eine Renaissance, die noch bis heute andauert. Fans aus aller Welt begeistern sich f\u00fcr die meist technisch einfachen, aber mit b\u00e4renstarken Motoren ausgestatten Hot Rods.<\/p>\n<p>Die Hot Rods geh\u00f6ren zu den interessantesten und individuellsten Gef\u00e4hrten auf deutschen Stra\u00dfen. Bleibt nur zu hoffen, das der Deutsche T\u00dcV diesen Autos nicht auf kurz oder lang einen Riegel vorschiebt.<\/p>\n<p><a
